Crewlytics App Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how LanTec AI LLC (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information in the Crewlytics mobile application (the “App”) — a workforce, equipment, and jobsite management tool for construction teams.

In short: we collect only what the App needs to work — your profile, clock-in/out location, photos, voice notes, and chat messages. We store it securely, encrypt it in transit, and never sell it, show you ads, or track you across other apps or the web. You can delete your account and personal data at any time, from inside the App or by requesting deletion online.

1.Which product this covers

This Policy applies to the Crewlytics mobile app for iOS and Android. Our marketing website at lantec.ai is covered by a separate website privacy policy. Crewlytics is intended for use by businesses and their staff; you typically access it through an account created or approved by your employer.

2.Information we collect

We collect the following, only to operate the App for you and your company:

Account & profile information — your first and last name, email address, phone number, the company you belong to, and your assigned role. You provide these at sign-up and can edit them in your profile.
Precise location — when you clock in or clock out of a shift, the App can record your device's GPS coordinates and a derived street/city address to verify where the shift started or ended. Location is optional: if you decline the permission, you can still clock in and out; we simply record no coordinates.
Photos — images you capture or select to attach to equipment records, time entries, or chat messages.
Voice recordings — audio you record for the voice-based equipment-entry feature, which is transcribed into an equipment record.
Messages — the content of messages and attachments you send in the App's chat.
Push notification token — a device identifier used to deliver notifications (for example, new chat messages). You can turn push notifications off in your profile.
Work records you create — time entries, breaks, time-off and time-edit requests, equipment records, jobsite data, and related notes.

We do not collect data through advertising networks, analytics SDKs, crash-reporting SDKs, or social-media trackers — the App contains none of these.

3.How we use information

We use the information above to:

provide and operate the App's features (time tracking, equipment management, messaging, notifications);
create and manage your account and your company's workspace;
verify shift clock-in/out locations for your employer's records;
keep the App secure and prevent misuse; and
meet legal, payroll, and record-keeping obligations.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it or use it for automated profiling unrelated to the App's functionality.

4.How we share information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf to run the App, and only as needed:

Microsoft Azure — cloud hosting and storage for the App's database and files (including photos and voice recordings). Data is hosted in the United States.
Microsoft Azure AI Speech — transcribes your voice recordings into text for the voice-entry feature. Azure processes the audio on our behalf and does not use it to train its own models.
Expo and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) — deliver push notifications to your device. The notification is routed through these services to reach your phone.
Your company — Crewlytics is a workplace tool, so the company that operates your workspace (and its administrators) can see the data you create within it, such as your time entries, location at clock-in/out, equipment records, and messages.
Legal requirements — where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of LanTec AI LLC or others.

5.Data security

All data sent between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Photos and voice recordings are stored in private cloud storage and served only to authorized users. The App also offers an optional biometric lock (Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode) to protect access on your device.

6.Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the App. When you delete your account (see below), we permanently remove your personal information and personal files.

For legal, payroll, and record-keeping reasons, your employer may need to retain certain work records — for example, time entries and audit history. Where we retain such records after an account deletion, we anonymize them so they are no longer linked to your name, email, or phone number.

What happens if your company's subscription ends

Crewlytics is sold as a monthly subscription to your company. If that subscription lapses or is cancelled, we do not delete your records. Time entries are payroll records, and employers are generally required to keep them for years — so our policy is built around making sure you can always get them back out.

A failed payment changes nothing. If a card is declined, the app keeps working normally while the payment is retried. Nobody is locked out over a billing hiccup.
When the paid period ends, the workspace becomes read‑only. For 90 days, everyone can still sign in and view the full history — crew, jobsites, equipment, and every timesheet. What stops is new activity: no new clock-ins, edits, or uploads.
Admins can export everything during that window. One download gives you a complete copy of your company's data in a standard, machine-readable format, so you can keep it for your own payroll and audit records.
After 90 days, sign-in closes — but the data is still there, not deleted.
Resubscribing restores everything. Nothing in this wind-down is destructive; paying again returns full access with all history intact.

We do not automatically delete a former customer's records. Data stays recoverable for at least one year after a subscription ends, and is only permanently erased when you ask us to (or an individual exercises the account-deletion right described below). If you want your company's data destroyed sooner, contact us and we will do it.

7.Deleting your account and data

You can request deletion of your account and personal data in two ways:

In the App — go to Profile → Delete account and confirm. You'll be asked to confirm twice, because this action is permanent.
Online — visit lantec.ai/delete-account.html to request deletion without needing the App.

When you delete your account, we:

permanently delete your profile details (name, email, phone) by anonymizing them;
delete your voice recordings and their stored audio files;
remove your registered notification devices; and
revoke your access and sign you out of all sessions.

Account deletion is permanent and is different from leaving a company. If you simply leave or switch companies, your account is deactivated but your data is retained so it can be restored if you return. Deleting your account erases your personal data for good — if you come back later, you start over with a new account. If you are the owner of a company workspace, you must transfer ownership (or contact us) before your account can be deleted, so your company is not left without an owner.

8.Your choices and rights

You can view and edit your profile in the App at any time, turn location and push notifications on or off, and delete your account as described above. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal information we hold about you. 9.Children's privacy

Crewlytics is a workplace application intended for adults (18+) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10.Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page, and any significant changes will be reflected here.
